On December 13th, 2018, the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, the University of Maryland Environmental Finance Center, and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments will host a free workshop on sustainable approaches to funding and financing an urban forestry program for Chesapeake Bay communities.

Local government staff, elected officials, tree board/commission volunteers, and other individuals or groups engaged in tree canopy in their community are invited to attend.

Participants will learn from experts and peers from across the Chesapeake Bay watershed on effective, transferable, and often novel approaches to leveraging existing resources or increasing access to funding for implementing urban tree canopy.

This workshop is free, but registration is required. Registration will close on Friday, December 7th.
