The 7th annual Waterways Heritage Festival will be held October 8 & 9, 2016 from 10 am – 4 pm at Battlefield Park South in Chesapeake, Virginia.

The Waterways Heritage Festival will feature free admission, parking, shuttle service, activities for children, exhibitors, guilds, and juried vendors selling handcrafted heritage arts related items.

Attendees will be able to enjoy the unique experience of traveling through the locks (weather permitting), and learning from Virginia Canals & Navigations Society members about the history of transportation through the liquid highways of yesteryear.

On Saturday, October 8th, the Festival will feature world renowned fly fishing expert Lefty Kreh. For well over 50 years in the world of fly-fishing, Lefty Kreh stands out as the best-known and best-loved outdoor writer and teacher in the world.

The Waterways Heritage Festival benefits the Great Bridge Battlefield & Waterways History Foundation.
