The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is asking anglers to help researchers learn more about blue catfish movement in the Potomac River.

Beginning in 2012, blue catfish will be tagged with two tagsā€”one white, one yellow. Anglers that catch a blue catfish with one or both tags are asked to remove the tag(s) and call Mary Groves at 301-888-2423.

Tag Colors: Yellow or White

Tag Reads: COOPERATIVE RESEARCH, REWARD, CALL 301-888-2423

A reward will be provided for each tag you returned. If a blue catfish has 2 tags (yellow and white), please return both tags in order to receive 2 rewards.
