New Virginia Oyster Regulations

Effective July 1, 1013, the Virginia Marine Resources Commission repealed all oyster taxes as part of a reform initiative that instead requires oyster harvests, shuckers, packers and shippers to pay an annual resource user fee. The changes are the result of new legislation passed by the Virginia General Assembly.
