Magothy River Day 2014

posted in: Events | 0

Magothy River Day is Saturday, June 14th at Lake Waterford Park from Noon until 5:00 PM. There will be live music beneath the trees, 12:30 to 4:30 PM, from two bands, “Leo & Cygnus” and the “Nautical Wheelers”.

The Magothy River Association will have displays and there will be a special focus on the floating plant project in association with Anne Arundel Community College. The Watershed Stewards and other groups will also be in attendance.

During Magothy River Day, old timers will be invited to share their Magothy memories. In the early afternoon, MRA will hold a round-table discussion about life on the River in the 1950’s and 60’s. The session will be video recorded and portions may be included in a Magothy History video.

The Magothy River Association is an all-volunteer group representing about 50 communities in the Magothy River watershed.
