The Chesapeake Bay Trust ranks in the top 1% of charities nationwide according to Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest independent evaluator of charities.
For eleven consecutive years, the Trust has received a 4-star rating, the highest available for a nonprofit organization, for its sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency
The Chesapeake Bay Trust is a nonprofit, grant-making organization dedicated to improving the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers through environmental education, community outreach and Bay restoration.
Since 1985, the Trust has awarded more than $50 million in grants to organizations, schools, and community groups to restore Maryland’s shorelines, educate schoolchildren about the environment, green local neighborhoods and clean-up local rivers and streams.
